Pre-service prayer will begin at 8:45 and 10:30 am in the Prayer Room every Sunday. Everyone is welcome to join in.

After the message each Sunday, if you would like prayer for anything - challenges you are facing, personal decisions, physical healing - we would love to pray with you. Make your way to the prayer corner and someone from the prayer team or staff will be available.

We want prayer to be alive and growing here at East Side so we are setting aside a time every Wednesday from 1:00 - 2:00 pm in the Worship Centre for anyone to come and pray, whether it is by yourself or with others. Come when you can!

CALL TO FAST AND PRAY
Over the last year our church has had much to celebrate. We have seen baptisms, people come to Christ, and numerous lives changed, and the work continues. We are seeing God at work, and we are going to keep trying to join Him there! Part of this means we are a growing church, which also means we are feeling the pressure of our seating capacity in the second service, rising space issues in other ministries in the church, and increasing demands on staff, lay leaders, and volunteers. As a church, we are approaching a crossroads, and the question is, what is God calling us to?
In August, the board will be meeting to discuss East Side's strategic plan and set a vision for the next chapter in East Side's history. In preparation, I ask that you would join me in fasting and prayer for the month of July ahead of this meeting. Our goal is that we would have one or more people fasting and praying each day for the month of July, lifting up our church and leadership ahead of this retreat, asking for wisdom, discernment and direction to be revealed to them. If you are not able to fast, your prayers are just as valued and needed. I was recently told by a mentor, don't just respond to pressure, respond to prayer, and I ask that you join me in that.
We are encouraging people to do the 6-6 fasting method where one fasts for the day, but ends it at supper. If you would like a further explanation and teaching on fasting, please follow this link.

The Salvation Army is in need of a few volunteer van drivers this coming spring/summer. The volunteers would drive 1 or 2 days a week and assist with food pickups at various stores in the city during the week. Anyone interested will need a current driver’s license, a clean driver’s abstract, be able to lift/carry up to 40lbs and be available approximately
8am - 12pm.
